Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) was an admission exam used by some institutes in India as the first step in the admission to postgraduate programs in management.

The Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET ) is the first step in the process of getting admission to the 2 year long full-time Postgraduate Degree Program in Management that are offered by the IITs.

JMET 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent, or a Master’s degree in any discipline can appear for the JMET examination.

JMET 2016 Exam Syllabus:

The JMET paper has only objective type questions, the paper are divided into 3 parts are:

Logical Reasoning: section would have questions on analytical reasoning, argument analysis and analysis of explanation questions.

Quantitative Ability: Section would have questions of Mathematics from the basics to Mensuration to Linear Algebra to Elementary differential calculus to Probability and Statistics.

Data Interpretation:

In this section you would have questions with simple tables, histograms, pie charts, graphs, scatter diagrams, etc. Although involved calculations are not expected, simple data manipulations would be required.
