DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi established Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women in Chandigarh in 1968 in the memory of Mehr Chand Mahajan, former CJI, educationist, social reformer and legal luminary.

MCM college is famous for its academic programmes, intellectual vigour, cultural and moral sensitivity.
It comes under Panjab University and admissions are done on the basis of merit.

Eligibility criteria:

1. 85% of seats will be reserved for applicants of Chandigarh U.T and 15% for general pool quota.
2. Applicant must obtain minimum 50% marks in +2 from a recognised board.
