There is no fix percentage criteria in 10/12th to become Scientist.

To become Scientist you must be :

Studied from a very well disciplined school
Have great knowledge in you own interesting subject
Work very hard

Eligibility

The minimum educational qualification for becoming Scientist is 12th class or equivalent examination with related subjects.

Here are steps to become a Scientist:

Step 1

Get a Bachelor degree in your chosen field that can be:-
Bachelors of Art (Social Sciences)
Bachelor of Science (In applied and Physical Science and related subjects)
B.E./B.Tech. in related Field

Step 2

After getting the basic qualification in the related field of interest the aspiring candidates have to apply for the Master’s Degree that can be:-
Master of Science (M.Sc.)
M.E./ M.Tech. Or any other Master’s degree in the related field

Step 3
After Masters, you should go for following:

M.Phil (Master of Philosophy)
Ph.D. (Philosophy of Doctorate)
