Can you tell me in detail about the Entrance Exam for admission in MBBS Program as offered by Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram?

The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram conducted PMT for admissions to MBBS course. The admissions for MBBS course for the year 2016-17 shall take place according to the AIPMT/NEET.

Eligibility
One must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission

One must have passed 12th standard exam under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent exam of any recognized Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in first attempt.

One must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Admission Procedure
One is selected as per the merit in the Entrance Examination

One who is going to appear in 10+2 Higher Secondary Board Exam in March / April is also eligible to appear in the competitive Entrance Exam

In entrance exam the paper of physics, chemistry and biology have multiple-choice questions, while that on Gandhian thought will be of long and short answer type

Exam Pattern

The exam is conducted in a single stage that usually occurs on the first Sunday of May.

The exam consists of one paper containing 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology), having 45 questions from each subject. The exam duration is 3 hours. Each question carries 4 marks.

For each incorrect response, one mark is deducted from the total score. However, no deduction from the total score is made if no response is indicated for an item.

Indication of more than one answer for a question is deemed an incorrect response and negatively marked.
