As per your concern I will get the Maharashtra Law Common Entrance Test syllabus, so that you can get idea about the syllabus. Here is the syllabus Legal Aptitude This subject will test candidate interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem solving ability. Questions will be framed with the help of legal proposition and a set of facts to which the said proposition has to be applied. Some propositions may not be true in real sense candidates will have to assume truth of these propositions and answer the questions drawing well supported conclusions. General Knowledge with Current Affairs. The test includes topic such as history, geography, general science, economics, civics and current affairs of the past one-two year. This subject is to assess the knowledge of the recent happening and Awareness of the world. Logical and Analytical Reasoning. a). Logical Reasoning This subject is to test the candidates ability to identify patterns, logical link and rectify in logical arguments. It will include a wide variety off logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, completing arguments, drawing well supported conclusions, reasoning by analogy, applying principles or rules. b). Analytical Reasoning This subject is to measure the ability to understand the structure of relationship and to draw logical conclusions about the structures. It includes reasoning deductively from a set of statements and rules or principles that describe the relationship among persons things or events. English Vocabulary (synonyms antonyms and analogies etc.) proficiency ( idioms and phrases , one word substitution, sentence improvement and rearrangement , fill in the blanks etc.) English usages error (common errors spotting errors inappropriate usages of words spelling mistakes etc.), English comprehension with minimum 2 passages followed by 5 to 10 questions that test reading and reasoning abilities. Basic Mathematics The mathematics questions will be set from 10th and 12th level of various topic including profit and loss speed and distance time and work algebra averages permutation and combination Venn diagrams. |
