Re: Maharashtra common entrance test (MAH CET)

MAH-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Maharashtra CET) is a state level entrance exam that is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra.

Key dates:
Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form of CAP Round-II through candidates Login 29th June to 1st July 2017 (5:00 PM)
Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-II 3rd July 2017 (5:00 PM)
Reporting to the ARC as per Allotment of CAP Round II if seat allotted for first time in CAP Round II 4th July to 7th July 2017 (5:00 PM)
Display of Vacant Seats for CAP Round-III 10th July 2017
Changing the option from Sliding or Floating or Freezing and vice-versa, Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form of CAP Round-III through candidates Login 11th July to 17th July 2017 (5:00 PM)
Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-III 17th July 2017 (5:00 PM)

Application Fee
Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J&K Migrant candidates. Rs.1000/-
Backward Class Categories (SC, ST, VJ/DT-NT(A), NT(B),NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and PWD (Persons with Disability) Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. Rs.800/-

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants have to complete their Bachelor Degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is mentioned below:


Exam Mode: MAH CET 2017 was held only through online mode (computer based test CBT) in multiple sessions.

Exam Date: The entrance exam was conducted on the 4th & 5th March 2017 in multiple sessions.

Language: The medium of the entrance exam was English.

Duration: The duration of the examination was 2 hours.

Type of Questions: The entrance exam was consist of the multiple choice objective type questions.

No. of Question: Total 200 questions was asked in the examination.

Marking Scheme: 1 mark was allotted to the candidates for correct response.

Negative Marking: There was no procedure of negative marking.
