The Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) offered by Mahadevi Birla Institute of Nursing and Clinical Technology is approved by the Department of Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education, Government of Jharkhand. It is affiliated to the Jharkhand Nurses Registration Council, Ranchi


Educational Qualification

10 +2 class passed with aggregate of 40% of marks in any stream.

10 +2 vocational ANM Course from INC recognised Institute.

10th Pass + 1 1/2 Year ANM training with 10 +2 Passed.


Eligibility

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 1st October of the year in which admission is sought.

The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.

The minimum educational requirement shall be passing of Inter-mediate Examination (10 + 2 Years Course), 10 + 2 Class or Central Board Secondary Education or a recognized equivalent Public Examination. Subjects of study must be equivalent to those prescribed by the CBSE for the class XII. English must be one of the subject.


Selection Process

There will be written test of 2 hours at the Institute only. Medium of test will be – English. Test will be comprised of Current affairs, General Knowledge, essay writing and translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi.

One who clears the written test will be called for interview. Interview will be done by a committee and decision of the selection committee will be the final.

One must bring the original certificates and mark sheets of class 10th and 10+2/ equivalent examination at the time of Interview.

Selected candidates will have to under goes a medical check-up at Mahadevi Hospital and Research Centre. Rs.1500/- will be charged towards medical check-up fee.


Admission

One should submit the following certificates in original at the time of Admission:

Matric Mark sheet, Certificate and Admit Card
10+2 Mark sheet, Certificates and Admit Card
Group photographs of the candidate with her family members.
2 copies of the photographs of each of the visiting family member (maximum 3 members)
