Madurai Kamaraj University, founded in 1966, has 18 Schools constituting 73 Departments. The Directorate of Distance Education of the University has student strength of about 1.30 lakhs. It offered PHD program.

Details about P.hd in Computer Science:-

Eligibility criteria: A candidate should posses an Post-graduate degree in Computer Science /Computer Applications/Information Technology and Management with not less than 50% of Marks.
OR equaivalent to it P.G. Degree in Mathematics/Physics/Statistics with 50% of marks alongwith one year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications.

Duration: One Academic year.

Duration of Examination : 3 Hours per paper
