The Department of Geography at the Madras University is one of the oldest Departments in this country and celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 1983.


The 2-year (four-semester) M. Tech Programs offered

Eligibility Criteria for University of Madras:

Candidates should Have M.A/M.Sc Degree Examination with Geography/ Geology/ Physics/ Environmental Sciences/Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Agriculture/ Remote Sensing as the main subject of study or Geography as one of the subjects of study with knowledge of Mathematics/Statistics at least at the +2 level or B.E Civil Engineering or any Information Technology related fields or an examination of any other university accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto.

Selection Process ;

Selection will be made on the basis of marks in the B.E/B.Tech degree, experience and performance in the interview and/or written test

Application can be Submitted only Online;
The application fee is Rs.250/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs.500/- for others (to be paid online)
