Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was founded in 1958, it is a public engineering institution and it is the second-oldest (after Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur) institute of the Indian Institutes of Technology system.

The Civil Dept. of IITB offers M.Tech in Civil Engineering degree in the following areas:

Structural Engineering
Geotechnical Engineering
Transportation Systems Engineering
Remote Sensing and Photogrammetric Engineering
Water Resources Engineering

Eligibility:
Applicants must have B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engineering)/ M.Sc./ M.C.A./ MBBS/ M.Pharm./ B.Pharm.(4 yr. Degree)/ BDS (4 yr. Degree)/ with First class or 60% (55% marks for SC/ST) marks.

Selection process:
On the basis of GATE 2015 OR a written test and a personal interview.
