M.Sc Tech NIT Calicut

I want to get admission in M.Sc (Tech) in National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) so can you please tell me the eligibility criteria for admission?

National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is a federally funded technical university and an institute of national importance governed by an act passed by the Parliament of India. It was established in 1961. It is one of the National Institutes of Technology established by the Government of India

M.Sc(Tech)-

The complete programme for M.Sc(Tech) will be for a duration of 6 semesters.

Minimum duration of M.Sc.(Tech) Degree Programme is 6 semesters. in any case, a student must complete this programme within a period of 5 years

Eligibility –

Candidate should have passed a full time degree programme of 3 or more years duration in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics or Engineering with First Class (or CGPA of 6.5/10) in the first attempt.

Structure of the M.Sc.(Tech) programme

2.1 The programme of instruction will consist of

i. Core courses (compulsory)
ii. Elective courses ( departmental )
iii. Elective courses ( non departmental )
iv. Laboratory/Seminar/Mini Project
v. Project work and dissertation

The student may be required to give one or more seminars and undergo industrial / practical training during the programme.
