My child wants to take admission in the LLB course at Lovely Professional University. Is CLAT scores is needed for take admission in its LLB course? If yes then please provide me Lovely Professional University LLB course admission cut off?

The LL.B. - Bachelor of Laws Program offered by LPU (Lovely Professional University) helps in nurturing a graduate with in depth knowledge of different aspects of laws comprising civil, criminal, taxation and international laws and ensuring conceptual clarity for judicial services aspirants.


Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)

Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Graduation (any stream) or equivalent.

5% relaxation for SC/ST Applicants and 3% relaxation for OBC applicants

5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants

5% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (i.e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University

In case the applicant falls in both categories, then only one relaxation in eligibility will be given.


Admission Criteria
Merit in qualifying examination.

AIR AND SPACE LAW
Laws relating to space and air will be dealt in detail.

BANKING AND INSURANCE LAWS
Focus on laws governing banking institutions and also focuses on provisions how to provide a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death.

BANKRUPTCY AND INSOLVENCY LAW
Focuses on the legal proceeding about a person or business that is unable to repay outstanding debts

COMPETITION LAW
Focuses on regulations that promotes or seeks to maintain market competition by regulating anti-competitive conduct by companies

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
The Company Act, 2013 has vehemently argued for the trasparency and independent decision making in the board of company. To understand the working of board and their decision making this paper has been introduced particulalrly for those studnets who want to have specialisation in corporate law. .

CRIMINOLOGY AND CRIMINAL JURISPRUDENCE
This paper will emphasise on the schools of criminology for understanding the reason why a person commits crimes, the consequences they bear and any theories or methods for prevention.

ELECTION LAWS
Focus will be on provisions of Representation of Peoples Act governing election procedure.

FORENSIC SCIENCE AND MEDICAL JURISPRUDENCE
The paper focuses on the need of forensic science in criminal justice administration. The course also looks into the various branches of forensic science namely questioned document, finger prints, lie detection and forensic pathology.

HUMAN RIGHTS- LAW AND PRACTICE
Introduction international regional and domestic enforcement frameworks for the human rights

INTERNATIONAL DISARMAMENT LAW
The course explores different laws relating to Disarmament, which is often taken to mean total elimination of weapons of mass destruction, such as nuclear arms.

INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL LAW
With the advancement of human beings comes issues relating to environment and its sustainability which will be studied in the course.

INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS LAW
The course explores international human rights law in armed conflicts as well as ways and means to enforce adherence to international humanitarian law.


Language Elective

BASIC FRENCH
Provide an introduction to basic knowledge and skills of foreign Language. Emphasizes on developing communication in foreign language through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities

GENERAL HINDI
Provides an introduction for Hindi Novel skills and enhance iteracy skills too.

GENERAL PUNJABI
It enhances the basic concepts of Punjabi literature.
