Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)
Masters degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate; 5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled candidates

Selection Criteria
One is short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance exam
The final selection is based on the performance in the Interview subject to scoring minimum marks

Exemption from Entrance Test
One who has qualified UGC (NET /JRF) / CSIR (NET / JRF) / SLET / GATE / GPAT / ICAR / teacher Fellowship or passed M. Phil Program is exempted from PhD Entrance Test.
Exemption is for LPUNEST only, but one has to appear for Interview. One need to bring the original documents against which exemption is sought at the time of interview
