I want to take admission in LLB Course at Jawaharlal Nehru University . Provide information regarding eligibility criteria and admission procedure .

Jawaharlal Nehru University was established in the year 1969. It is affiliated to UGC, NAAC, AIU . It is located at New Delhi, India .

Centre for the Study of Law and Governance , Jawaharlal Nehru University does not offers LLB course and it offers an MPhil/PhD programme as well as a doctoral programme of study.

Jawaharlal Nehru University, also known as JNU, is a public central university in New Delhi, the capital of India.


There are two courses in JNU(Jawahar Lal Nehru University) offers two courses in Law and Governance.These are :-

Ph.D in Law and Governance.
M.Phil in law and Governance.

Eligibility for Ph.D course :-
You should have a M.Phil degree in Political science/Economics/Sociology/Law.
Your minimum GPA in M.Phil should be 6.0 .

Eligibility for M.Phil course :-
You should have a Master degree in Public administration/Economics/Sociology/History/Philosophy/Law.
Your minimum marks in Master degree should be 55%.

The syllabus for Law and Governance entrance test for JNU


Political science.
Public administration.
Sociology.
Law.

It will also include questions from the topics :-

Changing role of the state.
The relationship between the state.
Market and Civil Management.
Civil Service reform.
New Public Management.
Local governance including both rural and urban.
The social and Economic bases of law.
Global governance.
The rule of law and access to Justice.
