There is only one Economics Research Institutes in India and it is The Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI).

The Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI)

The Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI) is an academic research institute on contemporary India at the University of Pennsylvania. It also collaborates with their New Delhi counterpart research organization, University of Pennsylvania Institute for the Advanced Study of India (UPIASI), to widen CASI’s reach within India.

India Summer Internship Program
Organizations work on a series of development issues including health, rural development, environmental sustainability, education, gender, financial access, and social enterprise. Since 2008, CASI has partnered with twelve organizations thought out India. Internship projects are based on the NGOs’ needs and interests of selected candidates. Funding comes from the Office of the Provost in partnership with the Office of International Programs and International Internship Program. Partner NGOs are finalized in January.
