Learn How to Read The Newspaper for IAS Exam

I am doing preparation of the Indian Administrative Service exam (IAS) and want to learn how to read the newspaper for IAS Exam. Will you provide me exam preparation tips and also tell me what Paper/Magazine to Read for doing this exam preparation?

IAS exam is popularly known as Indian Administrative Service exam which is one of the premier designations offered by the Indian government.

The objective of the Civil Services Examination is to select candidates for the various A grade services and posts of the union government.

IAS reading newspaper detail:

Newspapers are seen as an indispensable tool to prepare for the civil services examinations. It is highly unimaginable to think about clearing the civil services examinations without cultivating a mature newspaper reading habit.

Which Paper/Magazine to Read:

for Newspapers in English: The Hindu; Indian Express; Asian Age.

for Hindi Newspapers: Hindustan, Navbharat Times

for Magazines: Pratiyogita Darpan; The Gist by UPSCPortal

Eligibility:

Nationality
For the IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and the Indian Police Service (IPS) you must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

You must have attained the age of 21 years and must have not attained the age of 32 years.

Academic Background

You must hold Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in any discipline from the recognized University/Institution.

Preparation tips:

You have to transform yourself into a bookworm. Study morning to till night and night to till morning.
Choose the subjects wisely, try to do more practice in mathematics.
General knowledge is the most important in all subjects. Make your general knowledge very strong.
Prepare all the subjects equally,
Watch the educational channel, news channel, geographic channels for gain more knowledge.
Choose subject according to your interest.
The importance of language practice, improve your communication skills, be prepare for interview.
Be confident, for your exams and interview.
We advise you to take fully rest the previous night.
