Is there any latest news about the Indian Institute of Technology entrance exam at the official website of the institute? If yes then please provide it to me.

The Latest News about IIT JEE exam is that the exam can be replaced with a common entrance from 2013 onwards. The central government has proposed to work on a common entrance test for all government engineering institutes.
According to the Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal, the decision is made by of the IIT Council and the IIT Council is a legal authority under the IIT Act and all the IITs has accepted the decision except the IIT Kanpur.
The final announcement about it has not been made yet and discussion about it is still going on.
