Lateral Entry In JIIT

Sir I want to know that what is the eligibility criteria to get the lateral admission in the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in the B.Tech course

Hey buddy the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology better known as JIIT Noida is an institute of higher education, a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and currently conferring the Deemed to be University status.

B.Tech Lateral Entry In JIIT

The candidates should have passed :

(a) First year in B. Tech from a recognized university.

or;

(b) Three year diploma after 10+ (Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination) with minimum aggregate of 60%marks in science and math’s


Way of selection

The admission will be purely on merit. The merit is based on

(a) Total of marks obtained in Admission Entrance Test: 2014 conducted at JIIT, Noida (weight age -60%)

(b) 40% weight age to marks obtained in 10th/12th-(Highest Exam before Diploma) for Diploma holders or 12th standard examinations (For 1st Year B Tech Students).

(c) Selected candidates will be offered provisional admission subject to production of certificates with proof of qualification / eligibility conditions.

(d) The list will be displayed on the Institutional Notice Board and candidates informed through letters and e-mails also.
