Built up in July 2000, Kendriya Vidyalaya NHPC Chamera-II is situated at NHPC Residential Complex on the bank of Ravi River at Karian,about 5km far from Chamba City.Started with an ostensible quality of 71 understudies in the year 2000 the Vidyalaya has developed much in size,stature and quality continuously.

At present the Vidyalaya has a Staff of 32 including 1-Principal, 7-PGTs, 5-TGTs, 6-PRTs, 5-Misc.Teachers, 1-UDC, 1-LDC, 3 Lab.Attendants and 3 'Sub-Staff'. The Vidyalaya has its own particular all around composed lovely and pleasantly kept up twofold story building and settled Games and Sports complex and Children Park and completely prepared modernized Science and Computer Laboratories.The Vidyalaya is associated to the Central Board of Secondary Education,New Delhi and encourages the study up to XII Standard with Science Stream.
