The Distance Education Council of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi has concurred acknowledgment to Kuvempu University for offering programs through separation mode.

The distance training projects of Kuvempu University were started amid the scholarly year 2002-03 through the Directorate of Distance Education. Throughout the years numerous new courses have been included, amid this year DEC of IGNOU has perceived our Distance Education Programs. The year, 2012-13, denote an imperative point of reference of the University as it commends the Silver Jubilee Year, and in addition the Decennial Year of its DDE.
