Minor in Economics is provided to students earning degrees outside the School of Management.
About Economics Undergraduate Minor:
Minor Requirements:
1.A grade of a C- or better must be earned in any course used to fulfill the minor.

2.Undistributed transfer credit will not be accepted.

3.Upper Division Economics courses must be completed at Purdue University.

Complete the courses :
ECON 251 Microeconomics
ECON 252 Macroeconomics

Complete 3 additional upper-level Economics courses from the list given below:
ECON 340 Intermediate Microeconomics (251 and 1 calculus courses)
ECON 461 Industrial Economics (251)
ECON 466 International Economics (252, 340)
ECON 471 Behavioral Economics (251, 252)
ECON XXX Krannert Approved Study Abroad Course (other than principles)
ECON 370 International Trade (251, 252)
ECON 371 Intern. Monetary Problems (251, 252)
ECON 380 Money and Banking (251, 252)
ECON 385 Labor Economics (251)
ECON 512 Intermediae Macro (replaces 352, instructor approval required)
ECON 562 Econometrics (replaces 360, instructor approval required)
ECON 419 Managerial Economics (251)
ECON 451 Game Theory (251)
ECON 352 Intermediate Macroeconomics (251, 252, 1 calculus and upper division status)

Here two types of minors options available Minor in Economics and Minor in Management.

Minor in Economics
Requirement
A grade of a C- or better must be earned in any course used to fulfill the minor.
Transfer credit for ECON 25100 and ECON 25200 will be accepted for the minor only if posted on the
student’s Purdue transcript as ECON 25100 and/or ECON 25200. Undistributed transfer credit (i.e. ECON
2XXXX) will not be accepted.

only if posted on the student’s Purdue transcript as ECON 25100, MGMT 20000 and/or MGMT
20100. Undistributed transfer credit (i.e. MGMT 2XXXX) will not be accepted
