The University of Kota (UOK) is a Government university in Kota, Rajasthan, India. It was established with the agreement of the governor of Rajasthan, and recognized by the UGC in 2003 under the state act.

It was established in the year 2003 by the Government of Rajasthan through The University of Kota Act, 2003 and notified vide State Government Gazzette No. F.2(12)/Vidhi-2/2003 dated 7th June 2003.

The University is approved by the UGC, AIU, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The university has six faculties - Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce and Management, Law and Education

The University of Kota has 175 affiliated colleges and autonomous departments across the six districts of the Rajasthan state, Kota,Jhalawar, Bundi, Baran, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur are under the territorial jurisdiction of the university.
