I have completed LLB course and now want to do LLM from the Kolkata University so please give me details about the admission procedure of LLM course in Kolkata University? Is there any entrance exam for admission in LLM course, than give me there details?

The University of Calcutta, Faculty of Law is conducting written test for admission into various 1st year of 2 year LLM Courses.

50% of the total seats available in Calcutta University are filled by BA.LLB (Hons) candidates of this university whereas, to fill rest 50% seats, entrance exam is conducted.

LLM Program is being offered by following list of institutions:
Department of Law, CU
Jogesh Chandra Chaudhury Law College
Surendranath Law College



Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants who have passed their B.A.LL.B (Hons)/B.A.LL.B/ LL.B (Hons)/ LL.B. Examination from this university or from other university recognized by the University of Calcutta are eligible to apply

Selection Procedure:
Fifty Percent (50%) of the total number of seats in the 1st year shall be reserved for B.A.LL.B (Hons.) candidates of this university, for the remaining seats entrance test will be conducted

The written test will be of 100 marks, 60 marks for MCQ, and 40 marks for subjective test from B.A.-LL.B syllabus of Calcutta University
