Re: KEA MBA Cut Off

Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) Cut off can be termed as the minimum marks required to be obtained by each candidate for participating in the counselling and allotment process.

The release of cut off will set a benchmark of ranking to select the best lot of candidates. These candidates will only be called for counselling and allotment process.

As the colleges have limited seats, the cut off list helps in retrenching and getting a lot of most deserving candidates for admission against these limited seats.

The cut off ranks are compared against the ranks obtained by the other candidates to decide who is to be selected for granting admission. At each stage of seat allotment during the counselling, the Karnataka PGCET Cut off will be issued.

The opening and closing rank in these cut off lists may vary every-time these will be issued. The reason behind the variation is the number of seats remaining vacant at the conclusion of every round.

Factors involved in deciding the KPGCET Cut off 2016

There are a number of factors, which play an important role in deciding the cut off. Some of these factors are listed below –
• Difficulty of exam
• Number of seats available in the institute
• Reservation norms
• Number of applications received
• Previous year admission trends
• Last year cutoff
• Marking scheme
