Can you please give here detail about the eligibility for appearing in the KCET medical Undergraduate entrance test (UGET) . Also please tell about the admission criteria for getting admission in a medical college there ?

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET Medical) is the entrance testy for the candidates who want to apply for MBBS and BDS courses (medical Undergraduate courses ) KCET Medical Eligibility Criteria : Applicants should have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate or (HSC)/10+2 or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages. Admission criteria : Applicants from general category must have secured minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and 50 % marks in KCET Medical Entrance Exam . Applicants from SC, ST and other category must have secured minimum of 40% marks in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and 40 % marks in KCET Medical Entrance Exam. Application form fee: General Category Candidates residing in Karnataka Rs. 650 Reserved Category Candidates residing in Karnataka Rs. 500 Candidates residing in outside Karnataka Rs. 750 Candidates residing in outside India Rs. 5000 Payment Mode: Candidates can pay the requisite fee in any of branch of : State Bank of Mysore, Syndicate Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Axis Bank At Centralized post office. The bank/post office will retain bank copy of the challan and handover the student’s copy and KEA copy of the paid challan. Candidates residing outside India have to pay the fee in the form of demand draft drawn in favor of ‘Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority’ payable at Bangalore KCET Medical Exam Pattern: KCET Medical exam to be conducted for two days in 3 different sessions . 3 subjects: Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Each paper to be conducted for 60 marks . Duration: 80 minutes |
