What is the full form of the KCET, give me there complete details? As I want to apply for the KCET exam so please tell me what the eligibility is required to apply for the KCET exam? What is the application fee of the KCET exam for general candidates?

KCET stands for Karnataka Common Entrance Test. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is the responsible body to conduct the KCET examination for admission to the full time Engineering, Technology, BPharma, DPharma, Agriculture courses (Farm Science) and Veterinary courses in Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka. Courses Offered: Through CET, these courses are offered: B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering, Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Science & Technology) Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry B.Sc (Agriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture, Forestry), B.Sc Agri Bio Technology B.Sc. (home science) B.F.Sc. (Fisheries) B.Sc (Agri. Marketing & Co-Op) B.Pharm Pharm-D AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani and Homoeopathy) KCET 2020 Exam Dates Starting of application form 4th week of January Closing of application form 1st week of March Last date of payment of application fee 1st week of March Application correction 3rd week of March Availability of admit card 2nd week of April Date of examination 22nd April (for Biology & Maths) and 23rd April (for Physics & Chemistry) Announcement of result Last week of May Commencement of counselling 2nd week of June KCET Exam Pattern Mode of Exam: The exam is held in offline mode (pen & paper based). Types of Question: Question papers are of Multiple Choice in nature. Number of Questions: Total 60 questions are asked from each section. Time Duration: Each section is given 80 minutes. Marking Scheme: One mark is awarded for each correct answer. Negative Marking: There is no provision for negative marking. No marks are deducted/awarded for marking multiple options. KCET Section-wise Pattern Subjects Duration No. of Questions Physics 80 Minutes 60 Chemistry 80 Minutes 60 Biology 80 Minutes 60 Mathematics 80 Minutes 60 Kannada Language (in case) 60 Minutes 50 The maximum marks of the practical test are 200. Minimum of 50% marks in Practical Examination is required to claim seat under Agriculturist Quota. One claiming eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava, will have to undergo a Kannada language test, to establish their ability to speak, read and write Kannada. The minimum passing marks for Kannada language test for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination. |
