I find both Karunya University, now Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in Coimbatore and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Coimbatore are among the good institutes in the city of Coimbatore.


Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences

Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences was founded with the noble vision to raise professionals and leaders of high academic calibre and unblemished character, nurtured with a strong motivation and commitment to serve humanity.

Established in 1986 as an Engineering College, it was granted an autonomous status in 2000 and declared Deemed-to-be University by University Grants Commission (UGC).

Accredited by NAAC, it offers a wide array of Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Degree programmes in various branches of Engineering, Biotechnology, Food processing and Agricultural Sciences.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a private deemed-to-be-university and Institute of Eminence based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded with the opening of Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore in 1994 by Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, and is managed by her international humanitarian organisation Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
