Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, formerly Karunya University, is a private residential institute deemed to be university founded by D. G. S. Dhinakaran and his son Paul Dhinakaran.

It was ranked 89 among universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2018, in the 101–150 band overall and 72 in the engineering rankings. It was accredited in 2014 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an "A" grade.
