Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PG CET) is a state level entrance exam. It is conducted by the Karnataka Examination authority (KEA) for admission in various PG courses. It offers admission into first year of MBA/MCA/ M. Tech/ M.E./M. Arch and second year or lateral entry to MCA programme.

Karnataka PGCET 2018 Dates

Availability of online application form 1st week of July 2018
Submission of application fee in specified bank 1st week of July 2018
Last date to submit application form 4th week of July 2018
Closing of submission of application fee 4th week of July 2018
Date of exam 1st week of August 2018
Admit Card 15 Days before the Exam Date

Eligibility Criteria

Residential: One must belongs to Karnataka state & have a domicile certificate of Karnataka.
One not belong to Karnataka state are eligible for admission into MBA/MCA seats.
One has a valid GATE score card is not eligible to appear Karnataka PGCET exam, but can fill the application form.

Qualification Criteria:

For MBA:

One must hold the 3 years of bachelors degree passed with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ST candidates).

For MCA:

One should have the UG degree in any stream with Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Application, Computer Programming, Business Mathematics and Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects with 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories.

For MCA Lateral Entry:
One must possess the bachelor degree in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) with mathematics at 10+2 or graduate level. One has to score the minimum 50% marks in qualifying exam (45% in case of SC/ST candidates).

For M.E./M. Tech/M. Arch (Full Time/Part Time):
One should pass the qualifying exam in respective fields with 55% marks (45% in case of SC/ST candidates).
