Kannur University was established in 1996 to provide development of higher education in Kasaragod, Kannur, and Wayanad districts of Kerala, India. It was established after the passing of Act No. 22 of 1996 of the Kerala Legislative Assembly.

Eligibility Criteria : A pass in any bachelor’s degree examination (under 10+2+3 pattern) in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture etc. of this University or any other Indian or Foreign University duly recognized by the Kannur University as equivalent thereto
