Junior Trinity is basically a Saturday School for 3-19 year olds. It encourages a lifelong interest in music and to give students the opportunities to develop to their maximum potential.

Main Programme

There are 30 teaching weeks every year plus one week each term for master classes and other activities and a week off for half term.

The Junior Trinity day starts around 8.00 and completes around 5.00pm

- AM individual lessons, classes and chamber music

- Weekly lunchtime concerts

- PM larger ensembles & choirs and individual lessons

Core Curriculum

The Junior Trinity Main Programme generally consists of:

Principal Study (instrumental/vocal)
40 minutes

General Musicianship class
50 minutes

Chamber Music
40 minutes

Ensembles
40 minutes

Choir
50-60 minutes

Orchestra
50-90 minutes

Optional Extras

- Second/ third study

- Longer lesson on first study

- Individual support in aural, theory of music and musicianship skills

- GCSE/ A Level classes in Music and Music Technology
