Established in 1980, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty is a constituent college of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara University (JSS University), Mysuru since 2008, and positioned today as one of the premier postgraduate and research institution imparting D.Pharm., B.Pharm., M.Pharm., (10 Specializations) Pharm.D., and PhD. Programs.

Facilities

Library and Information Center
The College Library known as Information Centre is located at the first floor of the College building.
It is well furnished with wooden reading tables with separate lighting system and comfortable chairs, journal s & new arrival display racks and one charging and discharging counter.
It is computerized by the Library Management Software Easy-lib to achieve the accuracy and speed up the transactions. The software supports Barcode Technology.

It has huge collection of about 11000 books, pharmaceutical journals, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, indexes, manuals, periodicals of various pharmaceutical disciplines.
It subscribes to more than 1000 National and International journals of Pharmacy.

Wi-Fi enabled campus
The campus is a fully WIFI-enabled campus. It allows students to access uninterrupted internet connectivity anywhere within the campus Including Boys and Girls Hostel.

Gymnasium
A well-equipped gymnasium which includes aerobic machines, weight machines and free weights is available separately for boys and girls.

Auditorium
An auditorium cum multipurpose hall with about 550 seating capacity is available in the campus.
It is being used for conducting Exam, various functions and meetings and indoor games. Campus recruitment activities are also conducted here.

Bank extension counter with ATM
One extension counter of Punjab National Bank ATM Facility is available for the students in financial transactions.

Power Backup
The college has a Diesel Generator to provide power supply to the Department and Laboratories in times of power supply failure.

Boys Hostel & Girls Hostel
The college has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls within the campus. Boys hostel built in about 4000 sq.mt and Girls hostel in about 3000 sq.mt for accommodating more than 250 students in each hostel.

Hostels are having separate kitchen and serving pure vegetarian food. The hostel rooms are furnished for the comfortable stay of the inmates.

Hostels are being monitored every day for food quality and civic maintenance by the hostel supervisors and overall by the hostel monitoring committee.
