Hi I would like to know if there is any requirement for the Junior Research Fellowship at India Statistical Institute in Kolkata as I might apply for it?

India Statistical Institute in Kolkata has invited application for the post of JRF in Computer Science on the basis of the entrance test to be held.

The contender for Junior Research Fellowship in Computer Science will need to take two tests - Test MMA (target sort) in the forenoon session and Test CSB (short answer sort) toward the evening session. Given beneath are the syllabus for CSB 2016 and a few inquiries from earlier years, alongside test questions for MMA and CSB from earlier years.

Examination Pattern for the JRF in Computer Science is as follows:

The CSB test booklet will have two groups as follows:

GROUP A
A test for all candidates in the basics of computer programming and discrete
mathematics.

GROUP B
A test at the M.Sc./M.E./M.Tech. level divided into the following 5 sections:
• Mathematics,
• Statistics,
• Physics,
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and
• Computer Science.
An aspirant has to answer questions from only one of these sections in
GROUP B, according to his/her choice.

Group A carries 30 marks and Group B carries 70 marks.
