Jobs after Clearing SCRA

I have appeared in the SCRA Exam this year and now waiting for its result. Please suggest me that which type of jobs I can get after clearing in this Exam? Can I get list of all types of jobs and their departments in the recruitment advertisement of SCRA? If yes, pls provide me official advertisement of this exam.

Special Class Railway Apprentices Refers to a Handful of Candidates that are Selected by the UPSC .

This programme was started in 1927 and is one of the oldest in India.

After the completion of this four years, they are enrolled in as Grade A railway officers and their starting salary is a minimum of Rs 35000/month which receives increment very soon.

Once you have Successfully Completed Your Training, You will be Appointed as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer.

Each officer starts with the 5400 grade pay salary which amounts to 75000 CTC approx and the promotions are same as per central government rules.


The eligibility is a pass in 10+2 (PCM)

The age Requirement is 17-21 years which is relaxed for reserved and other specified categories.

The exam that can be taken only in English comprises of two parts:
Part I: Consists of a written exam (three papers of 200 marks each adding up to a total of 600 marks)

Paper I: General ability test (English, GK and psychological test)

Paper II: Physical sciences (physics and chemistry)
Paper-III: Mathematics. The questions are approximately of +2 level, but there is a penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers in the objective type question papers.
