The Jai Narain Vyas University is an educational institution in Jodhpur city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The JNVU was established in 1962. In 2005 the university became the first in its state to receive an "A" grade ranking by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The university was established in 1962 by the Jodhpur University Act (Act XVII), enacted by the State Legislature for the Unitary Teaching University. Four Government Colleges of Jodhpur became part of the University. MBM Engineering College (Now Faculty of Engineering & Architecture (11 Department)), Jaswant College (now Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies with 04 Departments), S.M.K. College (now Faculty of Law and Campus of Institute of Evening Studies and also being used presently for Under graduate teaching of Faculty of Arts.
