Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi was established in 1969 and it is one of the most prestigious universities across the country. JNU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and research courses through various schools and centers of the university.

Jawaharlal Nehru University, one of the finest institutes for teaching and research in the country conducts entrance tests for admission to various post graduate courses of the varsity.

Institution also conducts an entrance exam for first year of BA (Honors) course and certificate of proficiency programs (COP).

B.A (Honors):

Eligibility for JNU Entrance Test:
• B.A (Honors) 2 year: First year of Bachelor’s degree or any other examination recognized as equivalent hereto with a minimum aggregate of 55 percent marks.

JNU Entrance Test Registration / Application Form:
Application for JNU Entrance Test can be done either online or offline.

Online application:
Online application can be filled on official website. All requirements of application need to be done online. The printed copy of the online application form should be sent to JNU office before the last date for form submission.

Offline application:
You are required to download application form from JNU’s official website. The completed application form can be submitted either by registered or speed post to the

Entrance Exam Fee:
Payment of application fee can be done through debit/credit card or net banking facility.

BA (Honours):
For general category candidates the fee for one field of study is Rs 130/- for two fields of study is Rs 250/- and for three fields of study is Rs 300/-.

For candidates belonging to SC/ST/BPL and physically handicapped category the application is Rs 110/- for one field of study, Rs 215/- for two fields of study and Rs 300/- for three fields of study.

Admit Card:
Candidates can download admit card from the university’s website.

JNU Entrance Test Tentative Date:
• Start date for issue of application form by JNU: 1st week of February
• Last date to issue of Application Form by JNU: 2nd week of March
• Start date to apply online: 1st week of February
• Last date to apply online: last week of February March
• Last date to send offline application Form: last week of February March

• Result Sharing: last week of June

JNU Entrance Test Syllabus:
BA (Honors): This general aptitude test will consist of objective type questions and short answers. The entrance test for BA (Honors) Foreign Languages will comprise of sections of General Knowledge, General English and Elementary Knowledge.
