JIPMER Entrance Exam is Taken for Admission Into the MBBS program of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER)

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should be an Indian citizen. The NRI/OCI candidates belonging are also eligible to apply.

A candidate should have done Class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board or University in PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology) with English.
The General Category candidate should have scored a minimum 50% marks.

The Reserved Category candidates, SC/ST/OBC/OPH should have scored a minimum 40% marks and the General Category OPH should have a score of 45% marks.

A candidate should be 17 years of age at the time of the admission.

Examination Pattern :

Physics - 60 no. of questions
Chemistry - 60 no. of questions
Biology - 60 no. of questions
English Language and Comprehension - 10 no. of questions
Logical & Quantitative Reasoning - 10 no. of questions


Marking Scheme
+4 for Correct Response
-1 for Incorrect Response
0 marks for unattempted questions
