Is Joint Entrance exam (JEE) Main Cancelled in Maharashtra state for admission in Engineering colleges there ?

Yes , from 2016 Maharashtra state not take part in JEE main exam for engineering course admissions.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) will be used for admission in engineering course .

For admission weightage :
50% weightage to class XII scores
50% to CET scores instead of the JEE (Main).

Eligibility Criteria:

Passed HSC or Class XII or equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks .

Candidate must study physics , Chemistry and Mathematics subjects .
