State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi is an autonomous body of the Government of NCT of Delhi established in 1988. It is a nodal agency recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) for admission, curriculum construction, course conduct, guidance, examination and certification of pre-service training programme in the area pre-primary and elementary education - Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) and Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE).


The Course consists of theory and practical work in the DIETs/Institutes schools and the community. A variety of activities undertaken in the DIETs/Institutes such as morning assembly, sports and cultural programmes, debates, work experience, art and craft work etc. offer an opportunity to the students to experience a reflection of life in schools.

DIET Delhi 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Students must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from CBSE or any other recognized education board

Students must have passed with at least 50% marks in HSC

Students from CBSE board their top 5 subjects will be considered for calculating 50% marks

Students from other boards one language & 4 subjects will be considered for calculating 50% marks.

Students with the reserved category will be given 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks.

Student’s maximum age should not be more than 24 years as the official notification is released
