Jaipur is one of the foremost centers of education in the country, providing various combined programmes in various disciplines of education and research.

This university was established in alliance with the Government of Rajasthan in the year 2007.
It was by the merging of two professional institutions that were formed in 2002 by the Seedling Group. These institutes were amalgamated, along with introduction of various new programmes to bring Jaipur National University into existence.

In the year 2008, this University was acknowledged and awarded an approval by the expert panel of UGC members under clause 2 (f) of the UGC Act. 1956.
With the beginning of the School of Distance Education & Learning (SODEL), JNU has made it possible for students to gain their education with ease. It was a boon for those, who for some reason could not acquire education in the regular mode.

'The School of Distance Education and Learning' also earned acclamation from UGC-DEB, AICTE for the courses offered by the university.
In a small duration, JNU has marked its presence in the country thanks to its commitment towards providing quality education and a pro-learning environment. The university invites renowned personalities for seminars and lectures to aid the students as well as teachers about the updates happening in various industries.

JNU is also an esteemed member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
