The School of Cultural Texts and Records was formally set up in August 2003, and began functioning in January 2004 after distribution of space and supports. It has a broadand open-finished plan of archiving, preparing and considering the literary basis(both verbal and varying media) of human culture and social life in the widestsense. Its affirmed exercises include: altering original copies and printed writings, particularly those requiring multidisciplinary contributions, in electronic and print frame planning databases, lists of sources, concordances, lists, hand records, area registers and other reference devices and web crawlers for social and printed examines; considering the historical backdrop of distributing and the printing press, particularly in Bengal and in India all in all; recording oral writing, oral history, interviews and other oral material; cross-modular or cross-segmental documentation: i.e., gathering material of various classes and kinds in connection to a specific date, occasion or topic; gathering of ephemera (political and business attention material, work printing work and so forth.); building up the assets for social informatics in India by getting to and creating suitable innovation for the above exercises: specifically, making fitting programming; distributing the yield in printed and advanced (counting on the web) shape.
