IUCAA-NCRA Admission Test INAT exam is conducted by Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (NCRA-TIFR), Pune to select candidates for a research scholarship towards a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at either IUCAA or NCRA-TIFR. INAT Eligibility M.Sc or B.E./B.Tech/ M.E./ M.Tech degrees with more than 55% marks Besides talented final-year B.Sc., 1st year M.Sc and 2nd/3rd year B.E./B.Tech students may also apply to be PRE-SELECTED for a research scholarship Students in any branch of the B.E., B.Tech., M.E. or M.Tech degrees, or in the Physics, Electronics, Astronomy or Applied Mathematics branches of the B.Sc or M.Sc degrees Students in the final year of the B.Sc or the first year of the M.Sc degrees may also apply Such students would attend one year of courses (taught in collaboration with IISER-Pune) before joining the IUCAA-NCRA graduate school INAT Exam Pattern INAT consists of written exam followed by interview INAT question paper will be divided into two parts. First part contains 20 objective-type questions on basic Mathematics, Physics and Electronics. Second part contains another 20 objective-type questions from Advanced Physics, Mathematics and Electronics/Engineering. Each question carries 3 marks There is a negative marking of 1 mark for wrong ans. The written examination duration will be of two hours. The final selection is based on the scores in the written test and interviews. INAT Exam Syllabus INAT Exam consists of one paper of two parts.
