To provide a broad based education to young generation as professional nurse to meet the health care needs, Samata Lok Sansthan trust, Gwalior has established the Institute of Nursing Science Studies and Research (INSSR) at Gwalior in 2002.

However INSSR has been affiliated under the umbrella of ITM University Gwalior in 2011. The institute is approved by the Government of Madhya Pradesh and received accreditation from the Indian Nursing Council and State Nursing Council.

The Prime objectives of the School of Nursing Sciences of ITM University are to develop highly skilled undergraduate and post graduate Nursing Students.

The programme uses wide range of interactive teaching methodologies like Audio visual aids, hospital visits and educational tours, seminars and presentations, internal tests, quiz, guest lectures, workshops and group discussion to equip the students with the capacity to carry out independent nursing research.
