Oh congrats you are selected for the SI of CPO. The company send call letter to the selected candidate according to their recruitment so just wait or call to the office of ITBP

The mission of RTC (Recruit Training Centre) Sivagangai of ITBP (Indo Tibetan Border Police) is to impart quality training to new entrants and in-service personnel for moulding them as professionally sound, physically & mentally robust and confident combatant members of Force to execute their task with commitment and due respect to Human Rights values.

Type of Training


(a) Basic Training for GD Constable.

(b) Basic Training other than GD Cadre.

(c) Any other basic or in-services courses on need basis.

Basic Training

44 weeks Basic Training is imparted to the newly recruited constables GD earmarked from different formations of ITBP.

It is organised as per curriculum circulated by Directorate General ITBP which includes intensive physical training, Unarmed combat, Drill, Weapon training, Map reading, Field craft, Battle craft, Tactics, Counter insurgency operations, Small arms firing, Rock climbing, Swimming, Outdoor exercises etc.

After completion of training a Passing Out Parade will be conducted in which they will be attested as trained soldiers and disciplined members of the force.

Objectives of Basic Training

(a) To achieve required standard of physical fitness and endurance.

(b) To impart required of soldierly skills.

(c) To develop team spirit.

(c) Any other basic or in-services courses on need basis.

(d) To bring altitudinal change matching for uniform service.

(e) To install soldierly habits and leadership qualities.

(f) To transform new entrant to hard core professional soldiers.

(g) To develop pride in uniform.


Objectives of In-Service Courses

(a) It varies from course to course.

(b) It is to professionally upgrade serving personnel for specific assignments.
