The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is a government-aided institute and deemed university for the study and research of space science, positioned at Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It is the first university in Asia to be exclusively dedicated to the study and research of Outer space. It was installed on 14 September 2007 by G. Madhavan Nair, the then Chairman of ISRO. IIST was established by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India. As you want to get admission in the B.Tech at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Seat Matrix for Different Programmes Programme Seats Available B.Tech. (Aerospace Engineering) 60 B.Tech. (Avionics) 60 Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.S./M.Tech.) 20 Reservation of Seats are :- Candidates belonging to assured categories are admitted to seats reserved based on relaxed criteria as per applicable rules of the Government of India. The categories included are Scheduled Castes (SC) --- 15% Scheduled Tribes (ST) --- 7.5% Other Backward Castes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) --- 27% Persons with Disabilities (PD) --- 3% (Horizontal Reservation) Here is Eligibility Criteria:- General (GEN) Candidates: At least 20% marks in collective and at least 5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics). Other Backward Community –Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) Candidates: At least 18% marks in aggregate and at least 4.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
