Re: ISBN Application
As you want to assign International Standard Book Number (ISBN Number) to your book so I am providing you a procedure for it. Firstly download the application form for ISBN Registration that is in the attachment. ISBN Application Form: Kindly fill this form with all the necessary details. I am providing you a Sample Copy so you will get idea how to fill it. You have to take a copy of your ID proof or a copy of the bank statement of the organization. Post the filled application form together with the ID Proof as on this address. Address: Raja Ram Mohun Roy ISBN Agency Department of Higher Education Ministry of Human Resource Development Room Number13, Jeevan Deep Building 4th Floor, Parliament Street, New Delhi, India Phone No: 011-23362436 and 011- 23071486 Wait for two months. If you are eligible for an ISBN number then, you will receive a response letter, with a list of ISBNs allotted to you. When you apply for the first time, you will be allocated 10 ISBN Numbers. Registering a book with ISBN: After allocation of a block of ISBN number, you must register the books with its ISBN. Fill the log book (sent by agency) with the list of titles and its bibliographic information. Attach a copy of the book or its jacket. Post it as an ordinary mail to the agency. PB stands for ‘Paper Back’ cover and HB stands for ‘Hard Bound’ cover. ED stands for ‘Edition’ SUB Stands or ‘Subject’ As far as e-book is concerned you can very well use the same ISBN for the hard copy to e-book format. |
