The Institute of Rural Management Anand was established in 1979. The institute is established by the father of white revolution Dr Verghese Kurien.

This is a pioneering academic institution in rural management education and research.

At Institute of Rural Management Costs for students are kept low through cross-subsidisation, with the aim of helping them serve the needs of the challenging rural sector more effectively.
