LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India Limited) directs an all India competitive exam for recruitment of insurance agents in LIC. This is a pre licensing test conducted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA).

In order to appear for the test one needs to attend a training session of roughly 100 hours which trains one in various aspects of the insurance business and is conducted by a divisional agency or training centre of LIC. One who clears it is awarded a license by IRDA to work as an insurance agent.


Eligibility

One should have qualified 10+2 class in case of urban areas. In case of rural areas, one's class 10th marks will be considered.
One has to be 10th class pass if one lives in a rural area with a population of less than 5000.
Age 18 years and above
