IPU CET Marks vs. Rank
I am about to take admission in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi (India) and for that I have appeared in the entrance examination of it and successfully qualified it. But I am getting confused as some people are telling me that rank is preferred and some are saying that marks obtained in entrance examination are preferred. So kindly help me regarding this.

The question paper of IPU CET is set in English and was conducted be pen-and-paper mode. During the exam, one is provided OMR answer sheets where responses have to mark by darkening ovals. One needs to bring a black ballpoint pen to the examination hall. Exam Pattern of IPU CET 2018 Item B. Tech B. Arch Question Type Objective-type Multiple Choice Objective-type Multiple Choice Test Time 2.30 hours 3 hours Total Number of Questions 150 200 Total Marks 600 800 Marking Scheme Each question will carry 4 marks. There is negative marking. For every incorrect attempt, 1 mark will be deducted. IPU CET 2018 Exam Pattern The IPU CET is held in offline mode i.e., Pen & Paper based mode The examination for all B. Tech programmes, except B. Tech in Biotechnology will be held for a time period of 2.30 hours. The paper for B. Tech Biotechnology will be conducted for 3 hours. IPU CET is held in English language only. The paper for all B. Tech programmes has a total of 150 questions whereas the paper for B. Tech Biotechnology will have total 200 questions. The question paper of IPU CET carried objective type or Multiple Answer Type Questions (MCQs). Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks, while for each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted. Unattempt questions will be awarded zero. IPU CET paper for all B. Tech programmes will have total marks of 600, while the candidates taking IPU CET 2018 B. Tech Biotechnology paper will be allotted questions out of 800 marks. The paper for all B. Tech programmes will carry questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while the paper for B. Tech Biotechnology will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. One can use only black ball pen for marking their answer options on the OMR sheet. Nothing else must be used. |
