Re: IPS vs CRPF
IPS: you can choose to work in the field or at the desk depending on your interests. As for the intelligence field, the sky is the limit for you in this service. All the intelligence organisations and CAPFs are manned and headed by the IPS. CAPF AC: you can choose this if you want to work in the field. But the type of operations and locations on the field varies for each force. In summary, go for IPS where there's a lot of mobility and opportunities. CAPF AC is also an awesome job but you might get limited into one type of field depending on the force you're in. CRPF Eligibility: Age limit: 18 years to 20, whereas SC/ST and OBC have an exemption of 5 and 3 years respectively. Qualification: Intermediate (Class 12th) with Skill Test of Dictation of 10 minutes with 80 wpm and no experience is needed CRPF selection process: Method of Selection Physical Standard Test (PST) Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Applicants have to complete 5 Kms race within 24 minutes. Original Document verification Trade Test:- The candidates who qualify the PST/ PET/ Documentation will be put through the respective Trade test. Each candidates will be allowed to appear for one trade test only as entered in the application form. Medical Examination:- Written Test:- Candidates has to attempt 100 marks MCQ type question containing 100 questions (Qualifying marks 35% for GC & EX- servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC) within 2 hours |
